As of February 25, the international passenger and freight transport of China Laos Railway has shown a strong growth momentum since the 2026 Spring Festival. Among them, the export goods are mainly mechanical and electrical products, steel and general merchandise, while the import goods are mainly tropical fruits, iron ores, etc; The supervision and inspection of 98 international tourist trains of the China Laos Railway led to 31200 inbound and outbound passengers, up 7.7% and 31.3% year on year respectively, which ensured the stable and efficient circulation of international goods and personnel during the Spring Festival, and injected strong momentum into regional economic and trade development and cultural exchanges.

"During this period, we have to import more than 100 tons of fruit every day on average. The China Laos railway transportation is efficient and stable, and it can reach the domestic market within 26 hours, so that we have more confidence in expanding imports." During the Spring Festival, Mengla Customs supervised and released the freight volume of ASEAN fruits imported through the China Laos Railway, which increased by 17.63% year on year.

In response to the growing demand for international passenger and cargo transportation of the China Laos Railway, Mengla Customs customized the customs clearance service plan, opened a "green channel" for fresh and perishable agricultural products and emergency medical treatment for passengers, and fully used non intrusive inspection equipment such as H986, nuclear radiation detection door, intelligent health inspection gate to achieve accurate and efficient inspection of goods and personnel.
