Please don't be stubborn when "exotic pets" enter the country! Recently, the Zhakou Customs under the jurisdiction of Gongbei Customs intercepted 184 hermit crabs at Gongbei Port, which were identified as Purple Land hermit crabs and are prohibited by the state from bringing live animals into the country.

At around 19:00 on January 22nd, mainland passenger Tan entered through the customs' "green channel" at the Gongbei Port Inspection Hall. The on-site customs officers found that the man's appearance and behavior were suspicious, and his luggage was not inspected by an X-ray machine, so they intercepted him. After further inspection, the customs officers seized 184 hermit crabs from the yellow plastic bag claimed by the passenger to contain snacks. According to the technical center of Gongbei Customs, the 184 hermit crabs mentioned above are Purple Land hermit crabs.

Customs reminds that according to relevant laws and regulations, it is prohibited to bring live animals into the country without approval. Those who violate the regulations will be held legally responsible by the customs in accordance with the law. (Written by Guo Shanshan)
