China Gateway Times: Ningbo rice dumpling on the shelves of American supermarkets

Recently, in the workshop of Cixi Promise Food Co., Ltd. located in Ningbo Qianwan New Area, white, round and fragrant Ningbo sesame rice dumpling kept rolling down the production line; In the packaging workshop, workers proficiently pack, seal, and package boxes. A batch of rice dumpling from Ningbo will soon travel across the sea to the United States and put on the shelves of local supermarkets.  
In order to pursue the most authentic flavor of Ningbo, Cixi Yunnuo Food Co., Ltd. insists on making rice dumpling with intangible cultural heritage techniques. The materials and production methods are very sophisticated. The process of water milling glutinous rice flour alone will take more than 10 hours. We have great confidence in our own products, but entering overseas markets is a new challenge for us, "said Li Dongwen, the relevant person in charge of the company.  
In order to help the smooth export of local rice dumpling, the Hangzhou Bay New Area Customs under Ningbo Customs established an export service team to actively help enterprises collect regulations on international market access and technical trade measures for frozen rice dumpling. At the same time, we will provide technical guidance for the packaging of rice dumpling, which integrates the symbolic elements of Ningbo, such as Drum Tower and Tianfeng Tower, to ensure that it meets the requirements of the standards of the export destination country.  
In addition, in view of the high export timeliness requirements of frozen rice dumpling, Hangzhou Bay New Area Customs opened a "green channel", provided convenience measures such as appointment inspection, "cloud issuance" of inspection and quarantine certificates, accelerated customs clearance and improved the "happiness" of enterprises.  
According to statistics, in the first 11 months of this year, Ningbo exported 398 tons of frozen rice dumpling in sesame, purple rice and other flavors, up 132.4% year on year.  
Next, Ningbo Customs will continue to implement the "Pro Clean Direct Train • Enterprises Need Customs Response" mechanism to assist enterprise development, ensure zero delay in export customs clearance, and support intangible cultural heritage characteristic agricultural and food product enterprises to "grab orders and clear customs quickly".
