According to statistical data, the port has achieved a cumulative import and export volume of 19.76 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.3 times, and the vitality of the air cargo market has been fully unleashed.
The core pillar of export products is mechanical and electrical products, with an export value of 12.62 billion yuan in the first half of the year, a year-on-year increase of 3.3 times; The imported products mainly include mechanical and electrical products and agricultural products, with import amounts of 3.48 billion yuan and 670 million yuan respectively, an increase of 72% and 3.1 times year-on-year.
Relying on the continuously improving international freight route network, Ningbo Airport's foreign trade market layout is constantly expanding. At present, the airport has opened 10 inbound and outbound cargo routes, connecting cities such as Li è ge, New York, and Dhaka, successfully building an international logistics channel covering the three major economic zones of Europe, America, and Asia.
About 50% of the imported goods on key ocean routes such as Li è ge and New York from Ningbo are transit goods, which can be quickly transported to many parts of the country through 'truck flights' under the closed-loop supervision of customs. Xu Zhuojun, the head of the Ningbo branch of Sinotrans Air Transport Co., Ltd., introduced that mature air land intermodal transportation channels not only effectively divert the pressure of airport cargo transportation, but also greatly shorten the logistics transfer cycle, which can help save 10% to 15% of logistics costs.
With the help of "air to air transfer" and "air land intermodal transportation", Ningbo Airport Port has linked with 19 domestic key airports including Shanghai, Zhengzhou, Ezhou, Xi'an, Tianjin, etc., and established a "truck flight" logistics network to efficiently undertake the import and export cargo transportation needs of surrounding cities, comprehensively expanding the channels for general cargo, cross-border e-commerce cargo, and international postal transport.
Data shows that in the first half of the year, Ningbo Airport Port imported 3967.6 tons of general cargo, a year-on-year increase of 1.2 times; 825.4 tons of general goods were exported through customs clearance, a year-on-year increase of 1.9 times.
