In the first half of the year, the import and export of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region increased by 16.2% year-on-year

According to statistics from Beijing Customs, in the first half of 2026, the import and export value of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region reached 2.58 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.2%, accounting for 10.1% of the total import and export value of the country. Among them, exports amounted to 770.06 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.8%, while imports amounted to 1.81 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.1%.

Since the beginning of this year, the import and export value of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region has maintained year-on-year growth for six consecutive months. Among them, exports in June reached 140.13 billion yuan, breaking through the 140 billion yuan mark for the first time in monthly history; Imports reached a monthly record high of 348.84 billion yuan.

The import and export of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region have all achieved growth. In the first half of the year, the import and export values of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei increased by 16.5%, 2.4%, and 33.2% year-on-year, respectively. Among them, the import and export value of Beijing is 1.78 trillion yuan, accounting for 69.3% of the import and export value of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region, driving the growth rate of import and export value in the region by 11.4 percentage points.

Closer trade relations with emerging markets. In the first half of the year, the import and export value of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region to countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road" was 1.37 trillion yuan, accounting for 53.0% of the import and export value of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region. In addition, the import and export value of 53 diplomatic countries in Africa reached 237.34 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.0%.

Exports are trending towards the new direction, with mechanical and electrical products accounting for about 60%. In the first half of the year, the export of mechanical and electrical products in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region was 458.32 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.4%, accounting for 59.5% of the export value of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region during the same period.
