In the first 8 months of this year, the export scale of plastic furniture in Fujian Province ranked third in the country

Plastic furniture is highly favored by consumers due to its lightweight, durability, waterproof and moisture-proof properties, rich colors, and affordable price. Fujian Province is one of the important production bases for plastic furniture in China, with globally renowned brands such as "Camellia". Its products are not only popular domestically, but also exported to overseas markets. According to statistics from Fuzhou Customs, in the first eight months of this year, the export of plastic furniture in Fujian Province reached 1.23 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.1%, ranking third in the country in terms of export scale.

The United States is the largest export market for plastic furniture in Fujian Province. In the first 8 months, Fujian Province exported plastic furniture to the United States worth 540 million yuan, an increase of 10.7%, accounting for 44.3% of the total export value of plastic furniture in Fujian Province during the same period. In addition, exports of plastic furniture to ASEAN amounted to 340 million yuan, an increase of 9.9%. Among them, exports to the Philippines and Thailand showed promising growth, increasing by 12.7% and 22.9% respectively.

Private enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises are driven by two wheels. In the first 8 months, both private enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises in Fujian Province exported plastic furniture worth 600 million yuan, with a total export growth of 8.7%.

In addition, with the continuous deepening of brand building, independent brands have become a major highlight of plastic furniture exports in Fujian Province. In the first 8 months, the export of domestic brands reached 630 million yuan, an increase of 20.4 times, accounting for 50.8% of the total export value of plastic furniture in Fujian Province during the same period.

To support plastic furniture going abroad, Fuzhou Customs deepens the application of the "Smart Customs" construction and the effectiveness of the "Smart Customs Strong Country" action, promotes the use of "intelligent verification+self-service printing" for certificates of origin, and achieves "instant signing" of certificates and "less running errands" for enterprises; Continuously applying mechanisms such as the "Customs Chief's Door to Door Policy", deeply interpreting policies such as RCEP for enterprises, guiding them to make good use of favorable policies such as tariff reduction and AEO international mutual recognition, and helping enterprises reduce trade costs; Optimize regulatory methods, proactively connect with enterprise export plans, implement "one enterprise, one policy", and further improve customs clearance efficiency.
