On February 2nd, statistics released by Ningbo Customs showed that in the 2025 Ningbo Port Food Import List, edible oil remained at the top with an import value of 3.92 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.4%.
Following closely behind are beverages (including alcoholic beverages), with an import value of 3.81 billion yuan, an increase of 23.8% year-on-year. Edible aquatic products ranked third, with an import value of 3.47 billion yuan, an increase of 18.9% year-on-year.
In addition, the fourth to eighth ranked items are grains, fruits (including nuts), meat and offal, cassava starch, dairy products, etc.
Specifically, the domestic market is highly enthusiastic about imported beverages. From Nordic beer to NFC fruit juice in Africa, more and more "small and beautiful" imported drinks are reaching the dining tables of ordinary people through the Ningbo port.
In addition to beverages, Ningbo Port also imports a variety of seafood, such as squid, shrimp, lobster, etc., which are regular customers.
From the data, it can be seen that citizens' "fruit baskets" are gradually becoming more abundant.
In 2025, hazelnuts will rank first in the import volume of fruits at Ningbo Port, with an import value of 320 million yuan, an increase of 37.2% year-on-year. The second place is Bi Gen Guo, with an import value of 290 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.1 times. Ningbo Port has also imported a total of 1.43 billion yuan of various nuts such as pistachios, cashews, and macadamia nuts, an increase of 23.2% year-on-year.
