Ministry of Commerce: China is willing to work with the United States to manage differences, promote cooperation, and maintain stable, healthy, and sustainable economic and trade relations between the two countries
Vice Minister of Commerce Yan Dong stated at a press conference of the State Council Information Office on January 26 that in 2025, China and the United States will uphold the spirit of equality, respect, and mutual benefit, and have conducted five rounds of economic and trade consultations, achieving a series of positive results, fully proving that China and the United States can find solutions to problems through equal dialogue and consultation. After the Busan summit between the two heads of state, the two sides maintained continuous communication at all levels through the China US economic and trade consultation mechanism, jointly promoting the implementation of the important consensus of the summit and the results of the Kuala Lumpur economic and trade consultation. Next, China is willing to work with the United States to uphold and implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state based on the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation. We will make good use of the China US economic and trade consultation mechanism, manage differences, promote cooperation, and maintain stable, healthy, and sustainable development of the economic and trade relations between the two countries.
