Sun Meijun, Director General of the General Administration of Customs, visited Henan for research

Recently, Sun Meijun, Director General of the General Administration of Customs, visited Zhengzhou Customs to promote and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and conducted on-site research on designated assistance work in Lushan County.

Sun Meijun had a discussion with members of the Zhengzhou Customs Party Committee, emphasizing the need to quickly ignite a wave of learning and implementing the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and effectively unify thoughts and actions with the spirit of the plenary session and the deployment of the "Proposal of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Formulating the 15th Five Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development". We must conscientiously implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech and important instructions on customs work, closely focus on major strategic tasks such as expanding high-level opening up to the outside world, promoting innovative development of trade, and high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, fully leverage the pivotal role of customs in the intersection of domestic and international circulation, based on the regional advantages, resource advantages, and market advantages of Henan, support the development of key industrial chain groups, make every effort to sprint towards the fourth quarter, expand diversified markets, and promote stable and high-quality foreign trade. We must coordinate development and security, strengthen penetrating supervision, strictly implement export control measures, prevent major animal and plant epidemics and diseases, firmly build a national security barrier, and safeguard the new development pattern with a new security pattern. We must consolidate, expand, and thoroughly implement the learning and education achievements of the Central Eight point Regulation, deepen the promotion of reform and governance through cases, strengthen the joint investigation and governance of corruption, and deepen the comprehensive strict governance of the Party.

Sun Meijun visited Zhangwan Village in Lushan County to gain a detailed understanding of grassroots party building and rural governance. She conducted on-site research on infrastructure construction, characteristic breeding, rural tourism and other industry assistance projects, visited and comforted relatively disadvantaged households, donated learning and daily necessities to schools, and exchanged ideas with designated assistance cadres and teachers from the General Administration of Customs. She emphasized the need to conscientiously implement the major deployment of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on continuing to do a good job in targeted assistance work, implement tailored and classified policies to help the assisted areas develop characteristic industries, expand agricultural product exports, promote local employment and increase income for farmers, and continue to consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation. Give full play to the leading role of grassroots party building, make good use of the "Shanhaiqing" party building brand and the "Three Matters and Three Businesses" work method, and build a harmonious, beautiful, safe, and happy countryside. Temporary cadres should play a good role as bridges, be down-to-earth, sincere, and put in effort. In the hot practice of accelerating the modernization of agriculture and rural areas and solidly promoting the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas, they should enhance their party spirit, hone their skills, improve their abilities, and achieve results, continuously enhancing the sense of gain and happiness of the people.
