India launches bilateral safeguard measures investigation on non phthalate plasticizers in South Korea

On September 30, 2025, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued a notice stating that, in response to an application submitted by KLJ Plasticizers Limited, a domestic enterprise in India, a bilateral safeguard measure investigation will be initiated against Non Phthalate Plasticizers in the form of Dictyl Terephthalate (DOTP) and Diethyl Cyclohexane (DEHP) originating from or imported from South Korea. This case involves products under Indian customs codes 2917 20 00 and 2917 39 20, as well as some products under 2917 13 90, 2917 32 00, 2917 33 00, 2917 39 30, 2917 39 50, and 2917 39 90. The investigation period of this case is from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025.
